No. 10 — Potomac Falls 4-Peats 200-Meter Medley
Loudoun County, Virginia — The Panther girls won the Dulles District 200-meter medley for a fourth-straight season at 1:55.70. Potomac Falls senior Kirby Shook has been on the team all four years. She was joined by Carla Harvey, Bridget Werner and Taylor Ayers.

No. 9 — Lane No-Look Dish for Thomas Dunk
Prince George’s County, Maryland — Largo senior Marcell Lane weaves through the defense and hits senior Malik Thomas with a smooth no-look pass for a two-handed slam. Thomas finished with a game-high 31 points in Largo’s 88-71 win over Forestville Academy on January 26.

No. 8 — Soph Paces Forest Park to Cardinal Title
Prince William County, Virginia — Bruin sophomore Briana Murphy won both the 50-meter and 500-meter freestyle events to pace Forest Park to a Cardinal District championship. It clipped Woodbridge, 121-117.

No. 7 — Block Parties
Northern Region, Virginia; Prince George’s County, Maryland — First, Hayfield senior T.J. Wilson elevates — and then seems to rise some more — before spiking this Lake Braddock shot attempt. Then, Duval junior Keith Crocket hustles back on defense to reject a would-be dunk by C.H. Flowers in what proved a 15-point win.

No. 6 — Kick Save and a Beauty

S.M.A.C., Maryland — Warrior senior goalie Dylan Paquette makes one of his 34 saves in the La Plata’s 4-2 win over Huntingtown on January 28.

No. 5 — 60-Foot Buzzer-Beater

Northern Region, Virginia — Madison senior Omi Ogolo earned the praise of his coach, Chris Kuhblank, for his defensive effort in the Warhawks’ 57-43 home win over the Seahawks on January 31. But this shot from his own 3-point line sent the entire gym into an uproar and stole back the momentum from district-leader South Lakes.

No. 4 — 23-Year Streak Snapped

W.C.A.C., Virginia/Maryland —  O’Connell wrestler Kyle Mason slams DeMatha’s Pat Prada to the mat en route to a win in a pivotal bout at the W.C.A.C. championships. The Knights won the league title, snapping a 23-year streak of W.C.A.C. championships for the Stags.

No. 3 — Vesecky Rewrites Raider Records

Loudoun County, Virginia — Loudoun County senior Vicky Vesecky entered the Raiders’ quad meet on Monday having broken a school record in every meet this season. That amazing streak continued after she scored an all-time best 9.35 on her bar routine.

No. 2 — Turning Dasilva Into Gold

Prince George’s County, Maryland — Parkdale wrestler Rafael Dasilva gets a reversal and an amazing pin to win his 215-pound match and clinch a 39-36 win over Bowie on January 31.

No. 1 — Valvano, Vol. II

Northern Region, Virginia — Tied at 39 with rival Hayfield on January 26, Lake Braddock senior Dominic Morra drained the clock down for what was supposed to be the final shot. But senior Jared Watson tipped home Morra’s miss to vault the Bruins to a two-point home win over their district rivals. Check out Lake Braddock coach Brian Metress‘ Jim-Valvano moment, sprinting for someone to hug, after the buzzer-beating win.
