Best known as the home of Mickey Mouse, Orlando, Florida will capture the attention of the lacrosse world on Saturday, May 3rd, as it serves as the starting point for the adidas National Lacrosse Classic.

The first of sixteen regional sites, some of the finest lacrosse players in Florida and its surrounding states will compete for spots on one of two teams which will represent the Southeast at ANLC National Championships, in Maryland this July.  The other Southeastern entry will be selected during tryouts in Atlanta on May 17th.

The Orlando tryout will be held at Sylvan Lake Park and will be led by coaches Craig Cook of Lake Highland Prep and Danny Hogan of Bishop Moore.

All of the regional teams will travel to Maryland where they will compete July 18-20 at the Maryland Soccerplex, just outside of Washington, D.C.  The teams will be divided into four brackets where they will take part in round-robin competition.  The four bracket emerges will advance to the Final Four where they will battle for a spot in the National Championship Game.

In December the event will come full circle, as the ANLC Champion will travel to Orlando to face the best team from Canada for Brogden Cup.
