09/14/2009 -- John Carroll's girls' varsity field hockey team lost to Seton Keough, 2-0, in a league contest played Monday at John Carroll in Bel Air, MD.

Seton Keough got on the board first, scoring with 3 minutes, 48 seconds left in the first half. After half time, Seton Keough scored its second goal with 23:08 still remaining.

John Carroll was unable to move the ball much and again was forced to defend for much of the second half. With about 8 minutes left in the game John Carroll's offense began to take control of the ball and most of the remaining time they kept the ball in Seton Keough territory.

Despite the effort and a few opportunities, the Patriots were unable to put one in the net.
