Thanks in large
part to the generosity of MHSBCA coaches, baseball and other used sports
equipment has been sent some of the poorest kids in the world in six continents
and over 20 countries. Baseball uniforms
from Owensville and helmets and bats from Hickman are being delivered to
Myanmar (Burma) this spring. Equipment
donated by Willard, Branson, North County and many others have made their way
around the globe over the last couple of years.
There is no
way to explain the joy and excitement that happens when a young boy who lives
in a tin shack with no plumbing and a dirt floor gets to play catch for the
first time with a real glove. There is
no way to describe the wonder when they realize that the bat and balls are
theirs to keep.
If your team
has old equipment that you no longer need give it a new home. Contact Paul Dudley at Lebanon High school
and arrangements will be made to get it in the right hands. Thanks again coaches for all the support over
the last couple of years.
