President's Message:

On behalf of the entire Executive Committee, I would like to say thanks to everyone involved in making the 2009 clinic a great success.  Our numbers were very solid once again, our speakers great, and we had the most vendors we have ever had.  Needless to say, it is a great time to be a high school baseball coach in Missouri.

A special thanks to Michael Hunt for all his work with the newly formed Legislative Committee and to George Blase from MSHSAA for his guidance in helping us form a plan.  Our play-off proposal has made the questionnaire and will be voted on this spring.  We as coaches need to get out and promote the idea.

A special thanks to all members of our executive committee for all the hours they give to making our association one of the best in the nation.  It is no coincidence that we won the prestigious JEM Award, which is given to the most active state association at the national level, for the second year in a row at the BCA Clinic in Chicago.  Hopefully with the support of more coaches across the state who join our association and get involved, we can make it a 3-Peat.

Please note that in your MSHSAA baseball rules packet there is a form that should serve as a reminder to all coaches about the important dead-lines for different awards offered by the MHSBCA.  Do your players justice and make sure and get the nomination forms in on time.  The greatest thing we do as an organization is honor the players, coaches, and facilities in our great state that deserve to be recognized.

In closing, I would like to thank the association for allowing me to serve as a president for the past two years.  It has without a doubt been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career as a baseball coach.

Best of luck this spring,

Andy Jackson
