Maryland Board of Football Officials, Inc.
To: MBFO Members
Greetings from your MBFO Executive Board, it is
time to start thinking about the fall season. There have many events since our last meeting and banquet,
most importantly the hiring of a new commissioner, Steve Smith. I know all of you will join with me in
wishing him well in his first season.
Steve will use the Arbiter assigner software so make certain that we
have your proper e-mail address as that will be the way you will access the system. We are also pleased to announce that we
will have a new website sponsored by Digital Sports. It will be much more interactive and allow us to use this
resource to better communicate with the membership. The sign on procedures are fairly simple once you go to the
web page the first time @ www.MBFO.Org.
Click on MEMBERS LOGIN and type in your E-mail address. Enter the password which is
allbut1. Follow the instructions
and create your own individual password.
We will send more detailed instructions in an e-mail announcing the new
site. Next fall’s meeting schedule
is set as follows: (Note: All
Meetings at Woodlawn H.S. except State Interpretation Meeting which will be at
Millford Mill Academy; Meeting Start Times, 7pm)

This
year our emphasis will be on proper communication with players, coaches,
parents, fans, and all who are connected with this great sport. We are part of the educational process
for these young people and have the opportunity to make a difference in their
lives. Now is the time to begin
preparation for the season both mentally and physically. We will have a physical/medical expert
at our first meetings to discuss health and safety issues for players and officials
alike. Take time now to check out
your uniforms. We want everyone to
make that outstanding first impression when you walk on the field. Finally, bring that professional and
positive attitude toward what we do.
I know this will continue our reputation as the best football
officiating organization in Maryland.
