KEAAU -- The Keaau High football team made things uneventful on Friday night. The Cougars ran the ball. Hilo couldn't stop it. And the host team walked off with a win.

Behind a running game that resembled a massive boulder rolling downhill, Keaau toppled Hilo 26-6 in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division I game at the Cougars' stadium.

About 600 rain-soaked fans watched senior quarterback Kona Pomroy score three first-half touchdowns to power the Cougars (2-1 BIIF Division I, 2-3 overall) over the Vikings (0-3, 0-4).
