Hon. Mention -- Worth More than Two?
After a personal foul pushed its point-after try back to the 17-yard yard line, Centreville elected to go for two against Mount Vernon. Wildcat senior receiver Warren Denny pulled down this jump ball in the corner of the end zone over a pair of Major defenders.

No. 10 -- For Langley's Own Welby-ing
It had been rough sledding for Langley's offense through the first four weeks, scoring just seven points that were not off a turnover. But at Herndon's Homecoming, this 92-yard touchdown connection from Saxon junior quarterback Braden Anderson to senior Chris Welby sparked a shocking, yet convincing, road win.

No. 9 -- Silly Kick Return Called Back
Lee senior Idreis Augustus ran this kickoff 91 yards back for score, even shrugging off a 15-yard facemask at midfield. But a block-in-the-back penalty away from the ball resulted in offsetting penalties and a re-kick.

No. 8 -- McConnell Long Ball
Trailing T.C. Williams by two points late in the third quarter, West Springfield senior kicker John McConnell drilled this 45-yard, game-winning field goal. The Spartans beat the Titans, 15-14.

No. 7 -- When in Rome ... Do as the Roman
Centreville outscored Mount Vernon 21-0 in the fourth quarter Friday. The most impressive of those three scores -- and the Wildcats' eight overall in their 50-21 home win -- was this falling-down, 1-yard touchdown toss from junior quarterback Chance Roman to sophomore tight end Ken Ekanem.

No. 6 -- Catch Fever
Bailey Cold Shoulder
 On his only reception of the night, Fairfax junior Marcus Bailey hauled in this pass over a Madison defender, pinning the ball to his shoulder pad and keeping his feet in-bounds. The Rebels lost, 21-7.

Voorhies Climbs Ladder -- and Defender
 Chantilly senior Braden Voorhies had three receptions against Hayfield Friday, two for scores. This 25-yard grab midway through the third quarter may have been the only non-touchdown, but a Hawk defensive back timing contact perfectly, this catch was the most impressive.

Sweet Juggling INT
 Westfield senior defensive back Ryan Sweet made an acrobatic, juggling interception in the red zone to stall out a Woodson drive early in the third quarter. But Morton's heroics were not enough as the Bulldogs fell at home, 28-7.

No. 5 -- Price is Right
South Lakes junior wide receiver Sean Price had a pair of touchdown receptions in a 28-21 home win over McLean Friday. That includes this cliff-hanging, pathfinding, Plinko-dropping, new-car-winning three-yard grab in the second quarter that put the Seahawks in front 21-0.

No. 4 -- Hey, C.J., That's My C.J.
Yorktown senior Sam Nottingham -- in only his second game dressed -- should have been sacked for a six-yard loss. He eluded the pressure and fired a sideline pass to senior wide receiver C.J. Bartholomew, who split the defense and crossed the field for a 60-yard touchdown connection.

No. 3 -- Wilsonnnnn!!!
In a 47-13 home win over Wakefield, Stuart junior Omar Daher lodged the ball loose with his helmet on a tackle and senior Carl Wilson was there to scoop the football mid hop and return it 58 yards for a score. The Raiders are 3-2.

No. 2 -- Angus. Beefy.
Edison scored 15 unanswered, second-half points at Oakton Friday, capped by this 54-yard screen-pass touchdown from senior Levi Barber to senior Angus Harper with three minutes left. The Eagles won, 18-14.

No. 1 -- Drizzy Adds to College Application
Lee senior running back Idreis Augustus takes this triple option, originally run to the short side of the field before he improvised, 85 yards for a score, his seventh of 63 yards or more. I'm out of adjectives. He is stupid good.
