The Kenwood bats came to life as every player in the lineup recorded at least one hit. When all was said and done, the Bluebird pounded out 20 base knocks.
Josh James, Cory Grossman and Steve Fama led the hit parade with three hits apiece. Josh Butzner, Charlie Myers and Randy Marshall both added two. On the day, James carried the biggest stick, knocking in four runs including three on a bases-clearing double in the third inning. Fama added three RBI’s to his season totals and Grossman added two.
Almost quietly, Myers, making his first start of the season, pitched a complete game, one hit victory. For his effort Charlie earned game ball honors.
