KEY 47, CHAPELGATE 42
Sparked by a game-high 14 points from junior guard Harrison Barton and the defensive play of senior guard Jake Maldonado, Key won its second straight MIAA C Conference game and improved to 4-5 overall.
Barton scored at least two points in every quarter while Maldonado held Chapelgate's top scorer, Aaron McCall, to five points under his average and just four in the second half.
"That was by far our best defensive effort of the season and Jake was exceptional," Obezags coach James Peters said. "It was total-team effort, including four blocks from our reserve center, Kai Pinkney."
