KEY 57, BETH TFILOH 46
It was Senior Night at Key Thursday but it was a junior who stole the show as Harrison Barton scored a team-high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to guide the Obezags to the 11-point home victory, which sealed a playoff spot for the defending MIAA C champions.
The team's seniors also came to play as point guard Jake Maldonado poured in 18 points and had just one turnover despite constant fullcourt pressure. Senior center Anthony Fusco produced nine points and 10 rebounds, including four straight points to give the Obezags a late 51-43 lead. Brendan Schrader, in his first start of the season, excelled defensively while Charlie Flanagan had a big block late and chipped in a handful of assists.
Key improved to 10-8 overall and 8-3 in the MIAA C, good enough for second place with one game left Friday against Indian Creek.
