Key senior point guard Jake Maldonado, an All-MIAA C selection, scored four points, grabbed a rebound and had a steal in roughly 10 minutes of action at the 21st Annual Anne Arundel County All-Star boys basketball game Wednesday night at North County High School. Maldonado scored both baskets early in the second quarter of the all-star contest that pitted some of the county's top seniors. Maldonado, Key's lone representative this year, also played well defensively, allowing just four points against his various competition.
Maldonado was a key factor in the team's run to a second straight MIAA C Conference final appearance, leading the team with an average of over 12 points per game while handling the primary ball-handling duties. Key finished the season at 12-9 overall and 9-3 in the MIAA C.
