Varsity: Langley Saxons 17 — TJ Colonials 6
In the season opening home game (3/28/08) for TJ, Langley wasted no time by striking in the top of the first inning. The big blow was a two out home run shot by Eddie Gonzales, one of two home runs by Gonzales on the night. After trailing 7-0 going into the bottom of the fourth inning, TJ got untracked and responded with four runs. J. B. Vande Sand fouled off several 3-2 pitches and drew a walk. Jeff Siebach followed with a sharp double to the gap between center and right field. Following Beau Pritchett's single to left field, Mason Freedman and Jonathan Wildes also tallied doubles to round out the scoring during the inning. Langley wasted no time, however, and responded with 10 runs in the top of the fifth inning to complete their scoring. TJ lost by 10 run rule in 5 innings.
