Here is the policy for inclement weather and swimming & diving:
1. Be safe when traveling!  We would rather have you miss a practice than be stranded or in an accident en route.
 
2. If school is scheduled but gets cancelled, there is no practice or meet.
 
3. If school is scheduled but gets delayed, there is still practice or a meet.
 
4. If school is in session but after-school programs are cancelled, you will be notified by an announcement over the intercom at LWHS.  For students not attending LWHS, the coaches or captains will call you as soon as we can.
 
5. If school is not scheduled (e.g. Winter Break) and there is inclement weather, we will make a decision about practice and let you know if it's cancelled.  If you do not hear from us, there is still practice.  The coaches or captains should know by 7:00am whether or not we'll have practice, and will call you as soon after 7am as possible.
 
6. In the event of power outages: if the pool has power (even though your neighborhood may not), there is still practice.  In the event of a power outage that disrupts the pool's regulatory systems (air, water filter, chemical levels), and it is not safe/healthy to practice, we will cancel practice.  We will call you if there is no practice, so if you don't hear from a coach or captain, come on down.
 
I think that covers most situations.  Be smart, be safe, and if you have questions about whether or not we're having practice, you can always call.
