Highlights:    It was a cold day for a meet yesterday as the middle school team traveled to Lakeland for the final cross country race of the season. There were 14 total Barstow athletes in attendance across grades 6, 7, and 8 for the boys and girls. The race was only a 1 mile race as opposed to the normal distance that they run throughout the year (1.5 miles). Aside from chilly weather, it was a very spectator friendly course as it was simply a huge loop that started and finished in the same area. The Barstow runners fared very well as we brought home many medals! The top 7 boys and top 7 girls were awarded medals. No times were recorded by the host school.

Thanks to all of the parents who were able to make it to the meet and cheer on the kids. My apologies for the confusion with the directions. If it is any consolation, Julee Dugan was the only one who made it there correctly on the first try. Even our bus got lost!

Thank you for all of your support this season and I am VERY proud of the kids and their great efforts! They’re all a pleasure to work with!
