Win - Barstow Black (B Team) defeated Oakhill

 Score: 49-7

 The 2008-2009 Barstow "B" Black team travelled North to take on Oakhill.  The Barstow Black team looked to head into the Holiday break with a 2-0 record.  Barstow Black jumped out of the gates taking an early lead 16-0 after the First Quarter and never looked back.  Barstow continued their tough team defense and led at halftime 30-1.  Barstow continued thier unslefish play in the second half which allowed Barstow to have two players in double figures led by Cameron Simon with 13 points and Bilal Hameed contributing 12 points to ignite the offense attack.  Two players finished with six points in Jay Gillen and Noland Ammon who nailed a three pointer in the closing minutes of game.  The remaining scorers were William Kanan and Deko Ricketts with 4 while Ethan Loftspring and Merek Holzrichter chipped in 2 points a piece.  Tommy Dunn provided some quaility minutes displaying some very nice passes and quality team defense. The Defense was led by William Kanan and Cameron Simon collecting 5 pilfers a piece while Merek Holzrichter showed that Tetris isn't the only thing that contains blocks by blocking two shots.  Barstow controlled the paint by getting 9 rebounds from Ricketts, 8 from Hameed and Simon, 6 from Holzrichter and 4 boards from the always active William Kanan.  The Barstow "B" Black team will continue to work hard over the next few practices while they gear up for the Holiday break and prepare put their 2-0 record up against Blue Rdige Christian.  This will be Barstow Black's third straight road game of the season at Blue Ridge Christian on Saturday, January 10th at 9 a.m.  Looking forward to seeing you there!  Go Knights!!!!
