Barstow Black (B Team) defeats Blue Ridge Christian    Score: 40-7

The 2008-2009 Barstow "B" Black team travelled to Blue Rdige Christian for the first of two games on Saturday.  The Barstow Black team continued with their strong defensive efforts as they won the game 40-7.  Barstow led at halftime 18-3 and then continued their tough team defense only allwoing 3 points in the second half.  Barstow was led in scoring by Cameron Simon with 12 points. Merek Holzrichter led the team with 5 steals and 2 blocks.  Bilal Hameed contributed 8 points followed by Ethan loftspring with 6, Collin Gustin, Holzrichter and Tommy Dunn with 4 and William Kanan chipped in 2 points to complete the offensive attack.  As a team we had 3 blocks, 16 steals, 10 assists, and 7 turnovers.  The Barstow "B" Black team will put their 3-0 record on the line with their second game of the day at home against Lee's Summit Community Christian.  Go Knights!!!!

Barstow Black (B Team) defeats Lee's Summit Community Christian   Score: 53-32

Summary:  The 2008-2009 Barstow "B" Black team hosted their first home game of the season and gave their home crowd something to cheer about.  The Barstow Black team continued to prove that their defense is a staple of this team.  Barstow led 7-6 after the First Quarter.  Barstow would only score four more points in the first half leading 23-10 at halftime.  Ethan Loftspring led all scorers with 13 points to compliment his 4 steals, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Bilal Hameed and Cameron Simon followed with 9 points a piece, followed closely by Collin Gustin with 7 (including a key first half three pointer), Cameron Simon with 6, William Kannan and Deko Ricketts with 4, and Noland Ammon with 1 point.  Ricketts and Holzrichter led the rebounding effort with 5 each.  As a team we had 4 blocks, 13 steals, 14 assists, and 15 turnovers.  The Barstow "B" Black team will put their 4-0 record on the line with their final home game of the season on January 17th.  Go Knights!!!!
