Trailing throughout the majority of the game, the Barstow 6th grade boys found a way to pull out an exciting overtime victory. The Knights beat Pembroke Hill-Blue by a final score of 29-25.
Barstow fell behind 14-20 late in the 3rd quarter when Steven Ketchmark
hit a crucial 3-pointer to cut the lead in half and give the Knights
some momentum going into the final quarter. Great defense and good
execution kept Barstow close going into the final minute when Mason
Morse hit a running shot from the right wing to tie the game at 25 and
send the game into overtime. Spencer Seabaugh had assists on both of
the baskets in the overtime as Ben Abbas both scored as time ran out
to finish the game and seal a Barstow victor.
Barstow had a very balanced scoring attack as no player for Barstow
scored more than 6 points.
