Hello Parents of a Novice Barstow Debater-

 

Here is the information for the tournament on Saturday.

 

The bus will depart Barstow for Lee's Summit West High School at 7:10 AM. (It is a Laidlaw company bus)

 

 

Departure Time

Debaters should be here and ready to get on the bus when it arrives at 7 AM.

 

Evidence

They should take their evidence and carts home with them on Friday and bring it to school and take it with them on the bus Saturday morning.

 

Lunch

There will be a snack bar at the school.  Students should bring money to purchase their lunch and snacks--$5-10 is probably plenty

 

Schedule

The first round is at 8:30 AM.  I have attached the tournament invitation and schedule.  Parents are always invited to attend to watch their children debate.  Because there will be elimination rounds, I'm not able to predict the exact time the group will return to Barstow, the children can phone you as the day progresses.

 

Sponsor

Sadia Aslam (she went with the students to SMS) will be the sponsor for this trip.  She will ride the bus with them, too.  Sadia's phone number is 816-824-1984.  I should be able to stay until the bus arrives, but then I'll need to drive the varsity to the tournament in Olathe.  If you need to reach me for any reason, my cell is 913-515-6833.

competitors will be dropped.
