The Gar-Field Indians boys soccer team scored two unanswered goals in the second half, fighting back from a 2-0 deficit to escape with a tie against Woodbridge in a key Cardinal District matchup on Friday night. The Vikings started the scoring in the 20th minute when junior Mohamed Khalil received a feed from sophomore Andrew Whitlock and powered the ball past Gar-Field goalkeeper Brad Powers. Sophomore Luis Vargas put the Vikings up by two goals 11 minutes later off of a feed from senior Henock Mesfin.

The Indians came roaring back in the second as sophomore Curtis Einsmann found the back of the net in the 43rd minute to cut the Vikes' lead to 2-1. Junior Alexander Painter scored the equalizer in the 67th minute to finish the scoring in the game.

The Indians end their regular-season series with the Vikings with a 1-0-1 record, beating Woodbridge 1-0 on April 28. Gar-Field remains undefeated at 5-0-1 in Cardinal District play.
