(May 14, 2009) - The 2009 Virginia
Level 5 Gymnastics State Championship was held at Averett
University in Danville, Virginia
on May 9 & 10, 2009.
Liberty Elementary School 3rd grader, Sydney Wrighte, won the state championship title on Balance Beam with a 9.5, she came in 2nd on Vault, 4th on Bars, and 2nd in the state of Virginia in the All Around.
Sydney, who attends GMS gymnastics in Manassas, Virginia, competed with 10 other teammates from GMS. Their team placed 8th in the state.
