DULLES, VA – Washington Capitals Defenseman, Brian Pothier will make an appearance at DMB Sports Camp at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA on July 14th, 2009.
Signed by the Atlanta Thrashers as a free agent in 2000, Pothier was traded to the Ottawa Senators in 2004 and then signed by the Washington Capitals in 2006. After getting injured during the 2008 season, Pothier made his comeback with the Capitals in March of this year.
Pothier is one of several professional athletes that will be visiting the camp this summer. He will talk to the campers about hockey and his experience with the Washington Capitals. This will be Pothier’s first appearance at DMB Sports Camp.
Other professional athletes with upcoming camp appearances include: Dominique Dawes, Lorenzo Alexander, Scott Urick, and two Washington Redskins Cheerleaders.
DMB Sports Camp was established in Loudoun County seven years ago by DMB Sports Group, Inc. The camp currently offers five different camp programs in Lansdowne and two sport-specific camps in Sterling to kids ages 6-17.
