Marcellus Sports Booster Club
The purpose of this organization shall be:
To stimulate interest in the inter-scholastic programs in Marcellus, and to offer assistance and recognition in any way possible. All undertakings will be in cooperation with the administration and the athletic department of Marcellus Central School.
WHAT WE ARE:
A group of Marcellus residents and parents committed to raising funds to aid the athletes and sports programs of the Marcellus School District.
WHAT WE DO & WHAT WE'VE DONE:
- Fund Raising
Operate the Concessions stand at the stadium,
Sell "Marcellus Mustang" merchandise,
Sell all-season sport passes,
Hold February lottery raffle.
- Scholarships
Distribute multiple scholarships annually to desrving Senior athletes.
- Sponsor Tournaments
Boy's JV & Varsity Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament,
- Misc Purchases
Trophy case in the High School,
Press box in the stadium,
Gator (ATV) for athletic department/trainer,
New "championship" banners in the High School Gym,
New pads for High School gym walls,
Scorers table in the High School,
Football throwing machine,
Baseball pitching machine,
Weight room equipment,
Gymnastics equipment.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
- Attend meetings:
2nd Monday of each month (except July & August)
7:00 p.m. in the High School Library
All interested parents/school district residents are encouraged to attend.
- Volunteer to work in the concession stand (our main source of income)
Open for Varsity Football, Soccer, Lacrosse & Track Meets.
(if enough volunteers are available, it can open for other levels too)
