Just a few days removed from an exciting dual meet that ended in a 72-72 tie, Mount St. Joseph and Loyola were both on hand at the 8th Annual Woodlawn Warrior Track Meet, on Saturday, and each walked away with several individual medals at an event where team scores were not kept.

For the Gaels, Andrew Darmody won the pole vault and Markeith Price took the 800.  Darmody won a close competion on a windy day to vault, while Price went out hard and held off Angelo Diggs of Digital Harbor in the homestretch.  Reynard Robinson also won for the Gaels, capturing the 400 hurdles, and he also placed second in the 110 high hurdles.

Loyola's victory came in the 4x800 meter relay, as the team of Brett Flurry, John McAuliffe, Greg Lange and Joe Orsulak, who ran a 1:58 anchor leg, edged Digital Harbor in a photo finish.

Other place winners for St. Joe were Jay Drenner (2nd discus), Darren McCoy (3rd in the 100) and triple jumpers Dorian Johnson (2nd) and Markeith Price (3rd).

Loyola placed Casey Kielty third in the pole vault and the 4x00 relay team of Rashad Curtis, Everette Farmer, Orsulak and Brandon Floyd was third.
