Archbishop Spalding got a big five-run first inning, sparked by a two-run
Kody Hines homer, and the Cavaliers went on to a 10-8 MIAA A Conference victory over Loyola, on Friday at Spalding.
The Dons, who were down by nine runs at one point, battled back, and left the potential tieng run on first when the Cavs' Jeff
Kemp came on to stop Blakefield in the seventh.
Hines was 3-for-3 on the day for Spalding, with three RBI and two runs
scored.
Ryan Woods was 2-for-3 with a monsterous homer run that traveled close to
390 feet into the tree tops in deep left for coach Steve Miller.

proud of the way we battled back." They're a very good team."
