The Manchester Lancers defeated the visiting Monacan Chiefs 1-0 in Wednesday night’s game.
Senior forward and captain Kelsey Leavey scored the only goal of the match for Manchester in the first half which proved to be enough to defeat Monacan.
The game was scoreless in the second half due to outstanding goalkeeping on both sides.
Monacan senior goalkeeper Abbie Gray recorded ten saves in the game.
Manchester goalies Faith Estes and Kristan Martin combined for a total of seven saves in the match, three by Martin and four by Estes.
The Lancers earned their second win in the Dominion District and improved their overall record to 3-5-1 as the Chiefs drop to 1-5, 2-6.
