Beautiful day - great course and the Knight Runners were AWESOME! We really wanted a little more experience coming into this huge meet, but with two meets canceled back to back, the Knight Runners had to step it up for this race. They burst onto the course and never looked back. Senior Natalie Hays and Sophomores Kaya LeGrand and Brooke Kawamoto hit the first mile with the lead pack and stayed there. Freshmen Mackenzie Devins and Sophomore Erin Bax stayed close behind. Keeping the race exciting were Seniors Jewel Kawamoto, Victoria Hoss and Emily Katz. Freshmen Allison Hall completed her first ever 5K. Over, around, up and down - 3 miles of hardwork paid off. Top Ten Finishers were Kaya in 6th, and Natalie in 8th. The icing on the cake was bringing home the 2nd place Team Plaque. Congratulations to our awesome Knight Runners!
Thank you to the parents for driving all the way to Joplin to cheer on our runners and supplying the team with much needed water and great food that helped fuel themmto be successful. What a great group success!
