The Knights lost their final match in the District Championship against Lee's Summitt Community Christian, 21-25, 19-25, ending their season with a 15-11 record. Despite solid performances by the entire team, the offense was unable to penetrate the LSCCS defense and respond to their well-placed tips. Highlights of the game were five kills by Ravali Reddy, four by Leah Ricketts and aces by Logan Walsh and Danielle Blatt. The Knights had their best season in recent history, even when playing in a tough new conference. The squad will miss the outstanding leadership of their three seniors, Reddy, Hammoor and Blatt. This group matured into great all-around players, and inspired their teammates with their love of the game on a daily basis.

 

Congratulations  on the following Barstow volleyball players for being voted into the 2008 Class 2 District 15 A-- District team:

 

Ravali Reddy - 1st Team

Danielle Blatt - 1st Team

Andrea Grabber - 2nd Team

Kelsey Hammoor - 2nd Team

Leah Ricketts - 2nd Team

 

We would like to thank all of the Booster Club representatives, parents, and volunteers who helped make the District Tournament run so smoothly. Your help was greatly appreciated.
