DISTRICT 2 CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS!
The fog finally lifted Saturday in time for the sun to shine on the girls cross country team They put their best foot forward - times 7 - to come out on top! The course was challenging, with a tough mixture of long, long uphills and downhills that required the girls to stay focused and put a season's worth of practice into their race. Four of our runners, Kaya LeGrand 2nd, Natalie Hays 6th, Mackenzie Devins 9th, and Brooke Kawamoto 15th ran for All-District Honors, finishing in the top 15. Kathleen White ran her best race of the year, coming in 19th with Victoria Hoss right behind her in the 22nd spot. Erin Bax battled this tough course along with the flu to still finish 29th. The girl's are to be congratulated for their District Championship. Each girl put in miles and miles of effort to be able to stand on top. This hard working crew will be put to the ultimate test this Saturday Nov 8th on the monster of all cross country courses in Jeff City. The girls will compete at the State meet at 11:15.
Best of luck to this OUTSTANDING TEAM!
