John Carroll star Erika Stasakova engaged in two of the most exciting competitions of the meet as she finished second to Holy Cross' Chinny Asher in the 1600 before coming back to defeat the talented freshman in the 3200. In the second race, Stasakova, who has been a repeat distance champion throughout her Patriot career, just missed breaking the 11 minute barrier, as she posted a time of 11:00.85. McDonogh's Madeline Dulac placed fourth in both of these races.
Erin Brooks had a big day for IAAM champion Seton Keough, as she covered 40-feet and 3-inches to win the triple jump. She also took second in the long jump and placed third in the 55 meter dash. Her performance helped the Gators to finish third overall. Keough, with 73 points, was just one point behind second place Bishop McNamara, but 50 points back of the dominant team champion - Elizabeth Seton (DC).
Also winning individual titles for the IAAM were Seton Keough's Megan Voorhees, who cleared 7'0" in the pole vault and McDonogh's Kristen Brown, who blazed to the 55 meter hurdles championship, with a time of 8.48. The Eagles also finished second in the 4x200 relay.
McDonogh (33.5) and John Carroll (23) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. The IAAM was also represented by Mount de Sales, Bryn Mawr and Maryvale Prep.
