The Midlothian Trojans, ranked tenth in the DigitalSports Top 10, defeated the Monacan Chiefs 3-0 in Thursday night’s girls soccer game at Midlothian.
Midlothian came out ready to play as they scored two goals in the first half to take the early lead.
The Trojans finished off the Chiefs in the second half with a final goal taking the shutout win.
Midlothian’s Layne had two goals in the match and her teammate Tubbs had a goal as well.
The Trojans goalkeeper Cella recorded three saves in the game and Monacan goalkeeper Gray had five saves.
The Trojans now improve to 4-2 in the Dominion District and 5-3 overall as the Chiefs fall to 1-4, 1-5.
