The Mills Godwin Eagles upset the Deep Run Wildcats 7-3 in Wednesday night’s game at Deep Run.
The Eagles came ready to play as they jumped on top of the Wildcats, ranked No. 2 in the DigitalSports Top 10, 3-0 after the first inning.
Mills Godwin was able to hold powerhouse Deep Run to only two runs after five innings.
The Eagles finished strong as they scored two more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to win the game 7-3.
Stacy Snellings was outstanding in the game as she went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI for the Eagles. Brooke Withrow went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Leona Rainey was 2 for 4 for Mill Godwin.
Claire Brooks had three hits for Deep Run and Kailtin Johnson added two.
