09/23/2009 -- Bel Air's boys' varsity volleyball team defeated Patterson Mill, 3-0, in a league contest played Wednesday .
This was a hard-fought game by both teams. The first set was agonizing and could have gone either way. Bel Air ended up winning it, 31-29, along with the other two sets.
Bel Air's freshman setter, Kyle Johnson, orchestrated the attacks that were mostly finished by seniors Zach Nadolny and Aaron Austin-Spencer. Sophomore Aaron Farley dominated the game at the net and along with senior Zach Johnson led the team in blocks.
Bel Air senior captain Kris Pittman was also impressive as a libero, a position he had never played previously, and initiated a lot of the attacks and counter attacks for the much-improved defense.
Congratulations to Patterson Mill for playing with class, and the referees for calling a great game.
