Junior guard Terrence West scored 17 points and senior guard/forward Joshua Willis contributed 11 leading No. 11 Northwestern past Carver, 79-60, in a Baltimore City Division II match on Presstman Street Tuesday afternoon.

Senior center Jeremy Brightful had 10 points for the defending City champ Wildcats (8-2, 1-0), who scored 49 points in the second half. Junior forward Shawn Tarver scored a game-high 23 points for Carver (5-6, 0-1) and sophomore guard Davon Usher added 16. The Bears will host last season's City finalist and No. 2 Lake Clifton Thursday afternoon. Northwestern will host No. 6 Douglass in a key division match this Tuesday.
