Bellevue High School swimmers and divers won 11 out of 12 events en route to a 128-58 victory over host Ballard High School on December 16.  Strong individual performances by senior Captains Andrew Mooers and Greg Nedell, Hayden Goudy, Geoff Stokes, and Andrew Barrett helped the Wolverines improve to 2-0 on the season.

Bellevue started the meet in resounding fashion, taking first and third in the 200 Medley Relay.  "A" team members Barrett, Stokes, Mooers, and Goudy touched first in 1:49.09.  "B" team members Jake VanWolvelaere, Andrew Sun, Kai Engevik, and Dan Ellis finished with a 2:10.01.  In the very next event, the 200 Freestyle, Bellevue's Goudy, Van Wolvelaere, and Nedell went 1-2-3.

Mooers and Stokes continued the Wolverines success by touching first and second in the 200 IM in 2:07.59 and 2:17.28, respectively.  The Beavers recorded their only event win of the competition in the 50 Freestyle, where Barrett, Engevik, and Lennon Fitting finished 2-3-4.  Ryan Pregent recorded a victory for Bellevue in the 1m Diving event, scoring 132.85 points.  The Wolverines continued to swim aggressively in the second half of the meet by winning every event as well as sweeping top honors in the 100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle Relay.  

Bellevue next competes against Interlake High School at Mercer Island's Mary Wayte pool on Thursday, December 18.
