Thanks to Bainbridge's improved defense and Bellevue's inability to convert on several counterattacks, the Wolverines ended the first quarter with a meager 1-0 lead.
Fortunately for Bellevue, junior Chase Middlesworth and senior Justin Dellinger picked up the scoring slack in the second quarter, and the Wolverines built a 7-1 lead. In the second half, Bellevue's defense limited Bainbridge to one goal, and the Wolverines ultimately emerged with a 12-2 victory.
Middlesworth led Bellevue with four goals on four shots. Dellinger added three goals and two steals. Sophomore Matt McKaig added three assists and three steals.
Bellevue (9-2) travels to Newberg on Friday to compete in the Newberg Invitational against the top teams in Oregon.
