The game was much closer than the final margin of victory indicates. Shorewood took advantage of several defensive breakdowns to post an early 5-2 first-quarter lead. The five goals were the most first-quarter goals that Bellevue had allowed all season.
After making some defensive adjustments, the Wolverines stormed back in the second quarter, outscoring Shorewood 6-1 to take an 11-6 halftime lead.
Bellevue tacked on six additional goals to end the game at 17-8. Senior Justin Dellinger led the Wolverine defense with five steals.
Bellevue (17-3) plays Roosevelt on Tuesday evening at King County Aquatics Center.
