The 7th grade girls basketball team scored its second win of the season with a 32-20 win over the B-G Bobcats. The game started off with a strong first quarter from B-G. Kierten Huffman and Myasia Davis scored for Sidney, but the end of the first quarter saw B-G up 6-3. Sidney battled back in the second quarter outscoring B-G 9 to 8. Paige Redman, Bethany Karl, Nicole Smith, and Hannah Wood all scored in the second quarter, but at the half B-G still led 14-12. The third quarter was a back and fourth battle with both teams scoring 4 points. Riliegh Genung and Mikala Finkbiner both scored for Sidney in the quarter. The Lady Warriors pulled away in the fourth quarter outscoring B-G 16 to 2. Hannah Wood, Nicole Smith, Mekayla Wakeman, and Bethany Karl all scored for Sidney; including 6 points from Genung! Nicole Smith led Sidney with 11 rebounds and Bethany Karl led Sidney with 6 steals. Way to go Sidney on your second win of the season. The Lady Warriors are back in action on Saturday as they host Norwich. Game time is 9:30am. Hope to see you at the game...Go Warriors!!!!!!
