 Loggers Finish Strong At RA Long Tourney
     After a rough start in pool play, the loggers got it together in bracket play and finished 2nd in the tourney.  The Loggers opened with RA Long it was a tight match which saw the loggers take the first game 25-21 only to lose the second 21-25.  Castle Rock was next, the Loggers fell both games to them 19-25, 17-25.  Last game in pool play was Auburn the Loggers came out hot dominating Auburn 25-14 only to see the table turned in a 15-25 loss.  Coming out of pool play they were seated 7th so the road to the championship game would be a tough one.
     The Loggers responded with a 22-25, 25-20, 15-11 victory over Kelso.  They then met Tournament host RA Long in the Semi-Final match.  The Loggers came out focused and they shut down the Lumberjills 25-15, 26-24.  Then came the championship match up, the Castle Rock Rockets VS the Onalaska Loggers.  The two top 1A schools fighting it out.  Castle Rock ended on top 23-25, 16-25, this will not be the last time these two teams face one another in a championship match. 
     After each match the opposing coach votes for a player as the All Star, at the end of the tournament an All Star team is announced, Onalaskas'  Samantha Gordon was voted on to the All Star team for her outstanding play throughout the tourney.  
     Samantha had 93 assists, 22 kills, 5 blocks, 45-47 serving 5 aces and 40 digs.  Amber Durand finished with 66 kills, 10 blocks, 43-48 serving, 12 aces, 49 digs and 70-74 serve receiving.  Kalie Ritchey ended the day with 32 kills, 65-71 serve receiving and 48 digs.  Libero, Mandy Reynoldson dug 53 balls, serve received 67-73 and served a perfect 35-35.  Emily Dalsted served 44-45.  Hailey Givens had 31 digs and team mate Kate Beckett had 12 blocks.
