Lobo's first comment to the press was "The moment that Brett Kaup nailed that three pointer, just fifteen seconds into the game, and seeing the fans go crazy, I knew that this was going to be a special game." Baby Shaq Rosborough hit a turnaround jumper not long after and again the crowd went bananas. So it was on Senior & Program Night 2008!

BT led early on, behind Aaron Gillette's 10 first-half points. Gillette also hit a 3-point buzzer shot to send the Warriors into the locker room at the half up 28-24. Park remained undaunted, however, and came out of the locker room fired up to "defend their kingdom."

The first five minutes of the second half were ugly, with each team alternating turnovers. Park eventually applied full court pressure and a few defensive surprises. Although Park trailed 35-32 entering the fourth quarter, they came alive behind AK and Sugar's 10 fourth quarter points. Anthony, Karl and Nathaniel hit five of six free throws to put Park up by four with 10 seconds remaining in the game. Despite full court pressure, BT's Jeremy Hurwitz hit a running three pointer to cut the lead to one with 9/10 of a second left, but Park easily inbounded the ball and sealed the win.

All in all it was a tremendous win for Park, who lost to BT by ten points just two weeks ago. An interesting statistic (insightfully noted by manager Andrew "Farmer" Marmer) was that both teams hit exactly fourteen 2-pointers, and exactly four 3-pointers. The difference was on the foul line where Park made 6 of 10, whereas BT only hit 5 of 9. ONE FREE THROW, and Bruin Nation celebrates on Saturday night! Oh the twisted web we weave!

So many of the Park players contributed. Karl and AK combined for 27 points, Tony had 5 points and 5 boards. Kyle worked their big man over and defended the paint while Sean exasperated the BT guards. Ben had 3 assists and Nathaniel had five boards and key free throws. Brett's three sent the fans into a frenzy and Q's shot rocked the house.

With the win the Bruins ruined BT's chance to have home court advantage next week in the playoffs when they will face Key School, and now Park heads across the bridge to wreak havoc on the Peter & Paul Sabres. Playoffs begin Tuesday, and the Bruins look to extend their three-game winning streak. Thank you to friends and family for making it a night to remember. With the radio blarin', the Bruins ride into the storm. Roll Bruins roll.
