 Coach Larry Blum Receives Good Coach Award

"A knowledgeable, enthusiastic soccer coach who always places the boy first. A great motivator and a good teacher who uses appropriate teaching techniques for the skill level of the boys. Respectful of parents, coaches, and referees."

"He did a great job of assessing each child's positive attributes, and building on them to create a positive chemistry with the team. He focused on teaching each child what they needed to be a stronger player."

During the year he lost a player due to injury. At their final tournament the coach purchased a t-shirt and had all the players sign it for their teammate along with a team photo as tournament finalists. Following their coach's example, the boy unselfishly contributed "soccer cards" they had each earned during the season saying, "Kevin would have earned these too."
