Perry Hall girls lacrosse, at a glance:

Coach Jen High enters her seventh year in coaching, having enjoyed stints at Moreton Hall, Towson High, I.N.D. and U.M.B.C. before landing at Perry Hall High.

High is hoping to lead the Gators to a rebound from last year's 4-8 season, which ended with a first round loss to North Harford in the Class 4A-3A North Regional.

High will depend on midfielder Melissa Diepold and attacker-midfielder Jen Semler for their leadership.

The coach is also high on newcomers Erika Metheny at midfield, and Becca Himes on attack.

High reports that she is "optimistic with consideration to strong leadership and talent in the midfield returners and contributions by an extremely promising group of freshmen."

"The team's offensive threats, which previously resided with current Rutgers player Jen Schmitt, will now fall upon several new and returing players," High said.
