The top five places scored individual points in each event. The girls saw sophomore Logan Boulger place in three events. Boulger placed fifth in the 55m with a time of 8.26. She also placed fifth in the Long Jump with a leap of 13' 5", and third in the Shot Put with a throw of 25' 1/2".
Boulger's efforts qualified her for States in all three events.
Senior, Kelsey Blakeney won the 1,600m in a time of 6:09.10, qualifying her fo States. In the 600m, junior Elizabeth Pietrucha placed third in a time of 2:04.30, and sophomore Quin Mann placed fourth in a time of 2:14.70. Both athletes qualified for States with thier efforts.
Junior Brittany Atkinson placed second in the 1,000m in a time of 4:18.00. In the Shot Put, freshman Baheeyah Madany placed fourth with a toss of 23' 10", while junior Austin Bevin placed fifth with 23' 8". Junior, Becky Beagle went to the finals of the 55m, finishing sixtth in a State qualifying time of 8.34. Beagle also qualified in the Long Jump with a leap of 13' 1.5".
The boys saw a number of athletes qualify for States also. Junior Zach Bartlett came away with two first-place finishes on Saturday, with a time
of 6.88 in the 55m, and 38.96 in the 300m. Other first-place finishers were senior Jesse Crosier in the Long Jump with a leap of 16' 8", and junior James Caswell in the 600m with a time of 1:37.70. Both qualified for States. Crosier also placed fourth in the High Jump clearing 4' 8", and qualified for States in the 55m with a time of 7.32. Caswell also qualified in the 300m with a time of 42.38.Junior Jason Devens placed second in the 300m with a time of 39.08, and third in the 55m in 7.09. He also qualified for States in both events. Junior, Ethan Burdick placed fourth in the 55m in 7.33, and fifth in the 300m in 41.40, qualifying for States in both events.
Junior John Caswell placed third in the 600m in a time of 1:47.40, and fifth in the Long Jump going 15' 2.5" qualifying him for States in both events. In the 1600m,
Junior Josh Rosse placed second in a time of 5:14.02, qualifying for States.In the Long Jump, Junior Graham Winseman placed second with a leap of 15' 11.5", qualifying for States.
Junior Stephen Silber placed second in the High Jump, clearing the bar at 5' 2" and fourth in the Long Jump with 15' 3", also qualifying him for States in both events. Senior, Neal Elwell placed 5th in the High Jump clearing 4' 4". In the Shot Put, Senior Corby Facto placed second with a put of 36' 6" qualifying him for States.
All four relay teams placed for MAU. The girls 4x200m team of Sami Vadakin, Icy Li, Mara Hirsch, and Becky Beagle placed second in a time of 2:09.91. The 4x400m team of Quin Mann, Elizabeth Pietrucha, Brittany Atkinson, and Kelsey Blakeney placed second in a time of 5:12.34.
The boys 4x200 team of Zach Bartlett, Ethan Burdick, Stephen Silber, and Jason Devens placed first in a time of 1:41.43, while the 4x400m team of James Caswell, Josh Rosse, Torrey Kurtzner, and Jason Devens placed second in a time of 4:03.42.
Katie Johnson, Joy Benner, Katie Cross, Pranjal Patel, and Jeff Trites also competed for MAU Saturday with strong efforts in thier events.
MAU will compete at Dartmouth College on December 20th in the first of three New Hampshire League Track and Field Meets, starting at noon.
