Potsdam had played Lisbon to a 2-2 tie in the opening game of the Jeffers Tournament. Lisbon led the game 1-0 at halftime. Potsdam tied the score on a Peter McAdoo drive from T.J. Rimmer 21 minutes into the second half. Lisbon regained the lead 10 minutes later. With 1.49 left in regulation time on a Rishe Thakur penalty kick Potsdam tied the game.
