Churchill finished off its first undefeated girls lacrosse regular season in program history with a 12-8 win over Quince Orchard Tuesday.

The Bulldogs are now 12-0 on the season and enter Thursday’s regional playoffs as the 4A West’s top seed. They are the only undefeated team in Montgomery County.

Churchill was once again paced by senior Angela Biciocchi (5 goals, 3 assists) and junior Zoe Kabelac (3 goals, 2 assists). Katie Ruben added two goals while JoJo Goldman and Hannah Brown each notched a goal. Goalie Lizzy Naegeli made 10 saves.

The Bulldogs have scored 197 goals this season with many of the girls only in their second year of playing lacrosse, including eight starters. Biciocchi, who is committed to Delaware, is the only Division I athlete.

Churchill’s first playoff game will be at home Saturday against the winner of Thursday’s Wootton-Paint Branch first-round meeting. The Bulldogs edged Wootton by one goal, 14-13, on March 27.

Quince Orchard (9-3) will face the winner of Northwest and Thomas Johnson Saturday at home.
