Meagan George struck out four batters with no walks and yielded three hits through seven innings, freshman Emily Posey tripled and  Alex Schovee doubled in a 5-0 shutout by River Hill over Howard County League rival Marriotts Ridge on Monday.

The victory ended a five-game losing streak by the Hawks, who "came together as a team," said coach Marni Rosenbaum.
