Mason Roberts scored the winning run on a dropped third strike with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Rossville a 2-1 victory over Clinton Prairie Wednesday. With runners on second and third and Ross Deardorff at the plate, Prairie’s catcher couldn’t corral the pitch and Roberts crossed the plate for the win. Roberts had set it up by getting his first hit of the season to lead off the inning.

Roberts also got the complete game win, allowing one run on three hits while striking out eight and walking four. Brandon Dirbas also went the distance for Prairie, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out eight and walking four.

Prairie got on the board in the top of the first when Tucker Dirbas scored on a passed ball. Rossville (3-9, 1-4 HHC) countered with a run of its own in the bottom half when Kyle Stingley also scored on a passed ball.
