1. Who can participate in the Challenger League?
Any student with physical or mental disabilities grades seven through age twenty-one. The disabilities must be severe enough that they prevent the student from participating in regular athletics with their non-disabled peers.
2. Who are the “buddies”?
Buddies are the Varsity student-athletes from the respective schools that will act as a coach / mentor to the students participating in the Challenger League.
3. When will the games be scheduled?
The games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays so that they do not interfere with the schedules of the regular athletic teams.
4. Where will the games be played?
Games will be played on the fields and courts of the participating schools.
5. What sports will the Challenger League play?
The sports will mirror the athletic schedules of the regular high school teams; all teams will be co-ed. Fall (Flag-Football & Soccer) Winter (Basketball) Spring (Baseball).
6. What will the Challenger League players wear?
The Challenger Teams will wear uniforms that resemble the athletic attire of their respective high schools.
7. How will the Challenger athletes and buddies get to the games?
Transportation for away game will be supplied for both the buddies and the challenger league athletes. If a student requires special transportation accommodations, they will need to be driven to the away games by a parent/guardian.
