St. Mary's Ryken would bounce back from their disappointing conference loss to Dematha with a sizable victory over Bishop McNamara on Tuesday.  The Knights would dominate the game from start to finish playing a variety of players from varsity and JV and would get a result of 17-1.  The game would start a little slow but as time went on Ryken would build a 5-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.  The second quarter would prove to be more of the same as the Knights would take a 13-0 lead into the half.  St. Mary's Ryken would have a slow quarter offensively in the third scoring none as the junior varsity players got acclomated to the game.  Ryken would net 4 in the fourth to take a 17-1 victory.  Leading the way for the Knights offensively was sophomore attackmen Connor Cook who would end the day with 1 goal and 3 assists.  A handful of SMR players would have 2 goals on the day including Patrick Brennan, Austin Spaulding, Peter Martin and Matt Boutin.  Senior faceoff middie Daniel Schuck would also score his first goal of the season.  Evan Ryan would put on a good display at the faceoffs winning 6 and only losing 1.  The defense would put in another strong effort as the would only allow 1 goal on 2 shots.  Man down again proved to be consistant going a perfect 5-5 in their efforts.  To highlight some of the younger players JV faceoff man Keith Bazyk would go 7 of 7 at the X, coming up with 3 groundballs as well.  Freshman Connor Summers would net 2 goals on the day, as Freshman Chris Hinds would hand out 2 helpers.  Daniel Goodley and Joe Joe Joseph would also score 1 goal with their play. 

St. Mary's Ryken will now travel to St. Johns to play another tough WCAC opponent of Friday April 3rd for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff.
