The Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles broke out the bats in a big way on Thursday afternoon at the Roost, belting a school record three home runs on the way to a 14-7 win over the Rockville Rams.

Brian Black led the offensive onslaught with a grand slam, double, and single to drive in seven runs. Max Nicholson added his first career home run, a three-run shot to center field, while Russell Main crushed a solo shot to left center.

Starter Tyler Klitsch left after four innings with a 10-0 lead but the Rams (4-8) rallied to close the gap to 10-7 behind Sam Kane (1-for-3, 2 RBIs), Chris Osgood (2-for-5, RBI) and Daniel Moroney (2 RBI).

Black came into the game however, and quelled the final Rockville rally to pick up the save.

The Eagles (8-2) then cranked two home runs in the bottom of the sixth to score four runs to put the game out of reach. The team will return to the Roost Friday afternoon at 3:30 to take on Bethesda/Chevy Chase.
